It is with immense pride that we announce Heidi Grimwood, our Vice President, has been named Wellness Personality of the Year by the esteemed Hotelier Maldives Awards 2024. As Heidi embarks on her 28th year in the spa, wellness, and fitness industry, her enthusiasm and dedication to her craft remain undiminished.
From her early beginnings at the tender age of 19, Heidi has been a beacon of innovation and leadership within the wellness community. Her illustrious career spans more than 25 years, specializing in spa and wellness operations and development. Known for her visionary approach, Heidi has been instrumental in conceptualizing and executing pioneering wellness programs that set industry benchmarks.
Heidi’s remarkable journey in wellness has taken her across the globe, from launching the first corporate gym at Virgin Atlantic Airways HQ to leading spa and wellness initiatives aboard the QE2 Oceanliner and at luxury destinations such as One and Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives. Her roles have included Co-Director at FG Innovation Management Ltd in Ireland, and impactful contributions at Inchydoney Lodge & Spa, Aghadoe Heights Hotel & Spa, and with Steiner Transocean – Worldwide.
In 2022, Heidi’s contributions were recognized globally when she was awarded the Global Spa Leader of the Year at the World Spa and Wellness Awards. This accolade was a testament to her lifelong dedication and pioneering contributions to the wellness domain.
Under her leadership, Heidi has also championed the Wellness Ambassador and Sustainable Ambassador initiatives at ELE|NA, emphasizing that wellness is a diverse and inclusive experience. Her creation of the “Wellness Your Way” retreat program further highlights her philosophy that wellness is not one-size-fits-all.
